Eco Rescuers Foundation’s Seed Sowing Program at Jhalana Leopard Reserve
On a bright and hopeful Sunday morning, the Eco Rescuers Foundation organized a Seed Sowing Program at the heart of Jhalana Leopard Reserve, Jaipur. This initiative was part of our continuous efforts to restore native vegetation and support wildlife conservation in and around urban forests.
The event brought together volunteers, nature lovers, and eco-warriors who came with one common goal — to give back to nature by sowing seeds that will grow into future green cover. With the monsoon rains rejuvenating the soil, it was the perfect time to take this crucial step toward ecological restoration.
Supported by the Rajasthan Forest Department and generously sponsored by Clear Edge, the event focused on sowing indigenous seeds that would thrive in the natural habitat of Jhalana. These native plants will not only contribute to improving air quality and controlling soil erosion but will also serve as food and shelter for various species, including birds, insects, and small mammals.
During the event, our volunteers were guided on how to identify suitable spots for seed sowing and were educated about the importance of maintaining biodiversity. The team was also given insights into how such small, consistent efforts can help revive degraded landscapes and strengthen the natural ecosystem.
At Eco Rescuers Foundation, we believe that conservation is a community effort. The active participation from citizens—especially youth—proves that a greener future is possible when we join hands and take meaningful action.
