Educating to Coexist: Snake & Monitor Lizard Awareness Workshop

Eco Rescuers Foundation successfully organized a Snake and Monitor Lizard Awareness Workshop at Malviya Convent School, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur. This impactful session aimed at building understanding, breaking myths, and strengthening coexistence between humans and reptiles, particularly snakes and monitor lizards—often misunderstood yet ecologically vital species.

  • Species Identification of snakes and monitor lizards native to Rajasthan

  • First Response Techniques during snakebite incidents

  • Legal Aspects surrounding snake rescue and wildlife protection

  • Understanding the Ecological Role of reptiles

  • Safe Rescue Practices and handling methods

  • Human-Wildlife Conflict Mitigation strategies

Participants included students, wildlife enthusiasts, and frontline forest staff, who gained valuable knowledge through interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and engaging visuals.
